I volunteered to do what?

Ok. I signed up, voluntarily...after the list circulated once around the room of parents, to set up the Fall Party for Nicholas' class. I did what. I don't really know what I am to do. His teacher said to do just whatever. Something small. They are 3 and 4 yr olds. But what. Here's my list of thoughts:
- Tablecloths
- Fall plates and napkins
- A snack
- Treat bag
- juice boxes

Is that it? Please do you have an idea? I need it.

Need a craft? Brown paint for a hand print. The four fingers are the feathers and the thumb is the head and gobble. You would just need to put an eye and draw a red gobble. Check out: http://www.dltk-teach.com for other ideas.

Crafts are always a good idea!! Love Michele's idea! It's easy and something to keep forever!!

Sounds good to me and a craft would be good too - but I would probably ask the teacher first. They may have something planned. Since it only said set up - I don't know if an activity/craft would be included in that.

I think you should make it "Last of the Mohicans" themed. They can watch the movie which is one of my faves and then, with play swords, act out real battles between early inhabitants of North America. Plus have them make a picture frame craft for mom.

I love the comments from Martha just as much as the actual blog...

A craft is a necessity
