Since I am now 5 1/2 weeks from D-Day I think it is about time I make a "To Do" list to accomplish before the baby arrives. And since we are getting down to the wire here, this list is going to have to contain ONLY the essentials.
#1. Baby name- need boy and girl names
#2. Find hospital entrance and parking lot. (My appointments are not in the same place I will deliver.)
#3. Plan for Nicholas and Stella- where they will go when we go to the hospital
#4. Cook plenty of frozen meals and stock chest freezer in the garage.
#5. Get infant car seat out of attic and clean it.
I think that is about it. We will start next week when we get back from Wheeling/Pittsburgh. You know, when I will be four weeks from the due date.
Did I miss anything critical? Sure, I know we will need clean infant clothes and newborn diapers, but if needed, that can be done after the baby is born. Besides, I don't want to *overwhelm* (ha!) myself right now. I should be resting (ha ha!).
Taking suggestions for names btw. Don't want first name that starts with "B" and no invented names.
Also, graciously accepting recipes for frozen meals.

OK I don't have middle names yet mainly because I couldn't remember what Nick and Stella's middle names were but here is my list:
Boys: Liam, Aaron, Zachary, Noah, Will, Griffin, Elijah and Owen
Girls: Audry, Laura, Victoria, Lily, Leah, Vivian, Gabriella, Gretchen, Claire, Alexis, & Vanessa
In the boys Will, and Liam are pretty popular and Noah and Zachary have been popular in recent years - In the girls none are too too popular maybe Gabriella and you would risk her going by Bella the "B" name you said you didn't want. Anyway I will keep thinking this was just my initial list! I feel your pain seeing that neither one of my kids were name until the last hour before we left the hospital! ;-)
OK just to let you know I looked up the top 100 names in 2008 and all my suggestions for boys were on there except Griffin and most of my girl names were on there too except Vanessa, Gretchen, Vivian and Laura (Lauren was on there)
And these are on there too (top 100) but I liked them too - Carly, Avery, and Gavin.
OK I was just reading these and saying Nicholas, Stella and ... and I think Gabriella is out just because of the "Ella" I know I an one to talk since my boys are named Bradley and Wesley but Stella and Gabriella is a mouth-full! ;-)
1. Bring the kids to our house, obviously. They can sleep in the playroom.
2. You don't need much. HA HA. Poor Charlie didn't even have a crib yet when he was born... or a room...
3. Will deliver swing before baby is born. I promise.
4. Katie for a girl. Dan for a boy. Also George and Ginger are options.
And we hired a personal chef to prepare our meals. His name was Chef Stouffer. HA HA.
Kate -
I'm emailing you a bunch of recipes for meals I made and froze back in January.
And yippee!! I love it when people say they are accepting suggestions for baby names!
Timorah
Katie - I know I am blowing up your "Comments" page but I caught Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood last night and realized I suggested Liam as a boys name and Tori Spellings kids names are Liam and Stella - so unless you are a HUGE fan (which I doubt) you might not want to go with Liam cuz people might think your a tad bit obsessed! Naming both your kids after hers and all! LOL ;-)
OK I am not a Tori Spelling fan...and that b* stole my name : )
THANKS for all the names!! Lori, we have considered like half of the names you mentioned and they are getting us to at least discuss possible/similar names. Katie, I would like to meet your chef. And sorry, we are not going to name this kid after your cats...maybe your husband. Timorah- YES I need meals ideas!!!!
You all are so awesome : )
Nick, Stella and Ginger Barry. I really can't think of anything more perfect.
Thinking of you.
Girl: Emma, Emily
Boy: Tristan, Jeremy

Hi there! Hmmm Ginger is sounding better to me all the time...very cute! Andrea is quite lovely too =
) I like Sam for both...and Jude or Pete for a boy. Can't wait to find out all of the details and hopefully will be able to meet the baby soon after he/she is born!
